"What Were L.M. Montgomery's Favourite Reads?": CBC story on LMM Bookshelf Project
Friday, December 23, 2022 - 09:54
The November 30th, 2022 launch of the LM Montgomery Bookshelf Project caught the attention of CBC Charlottetown. Thanks to reporter Maggie Brown for her work in preparing this interesting piece:
During July of 2019 Dr. Sarah Galletly worked with the Special Items from the Ryrie-Campbell Collection. The result is an enhanced and richly annotated exhibit of postcards, letters, and other Montgomery-related items that surfaces interesting connections.
The Ryrie-Campbell Collection Special Items -- an assemblage of ~30 unique and fascinating postcards, photos, letters, and other memorabilia from Montgomery's documenting various stages of her remarkable life and career -- have been digitized and catalogued, and are now available online through Kindred Spaces. Thanks, once again, to L.M. Montgomery Research Associate Dr. Donna Jane Campbell, whose generosity and support make KindredSpaces possible.
New Book: A collectors guide to L.M. Montgomery firsts
Monday, November 30, 2009 - 16:44
Charlottetown book collectors Frank and Juanita Lechowick have launched a new book, A collector's guide to L.M. Montgomery firsts.
From the launch announcement:
"In the course of research in libraries and used book stores from Charlottetown to Victoria, the authors have discovered the points of Montgomery’s original editions, from Anne of Green Gables (1908) to Anne of Ingleside (1939). A Collector’s Guide to L. M. Montgomery Firsts presents their findings systematically, with photographs and descriptions of each of the 39 first editions."
