This book covers the death of silent film director William Desmond Taylor and the mystery surrounding it. He was the director for the 1919 Realart Pictures Corp. "Anne of Green Gables" that starred Mary Miles Minter. She was drawn into the controversy surrounding his death, which supposedly contributed to her retiring from acting.
