Abstract
A book about "Anne of Green Gables". It includes a biography of L.M. Montgomery and mentions the 1934 and 1940 RKO Radio Picture adaptations starring Anne Shirley who had formerly used the stage name 'Dawn O'Day', but adopted the Anne Shirley name after being cast in the 1934 RKO film. It talks prominently about the 1985 miniseries starring Megan Follows and directed by Kevin Sullivan. There are biographies for each of the actors and staff of the miniseries, stills feature throughout the book, there is a synopsis of "Anne of Green Gables", and interviews about how Anne has such a wide following in Japan.
